Have no fear, the Monday Game Updates are here! And this time, we have a LOT of new updates for you! But first, we want to thank all of you for an amazing April Fools’ Party! This was one of our biggest events ever and the feedback we got was so encouraging for our team who put dozens of hours in every week to help make this game for you all. If you see a team member waddling around the island this week be sure to thank them! Now let’s get into this thing.
The Tour HQ: Reimagined!
The penguins on the island have been busy at work redesigning the beloved hub for information, the Tour Headquarters! In this brand new look, meticulously crafted down to every detail, we’ve added an enhanced experience for users to enjoy. We also added new music to the Tour HQ and Lookout that can now be purchased in the Music Store.
Unlock Code Interface
We have also been hard at work updating our Unlock Code Interface to emulate the treasure chest design from the original game. And to thank the community we have a NEW CODE out now: TREASUREHAT
New In-Game Emotes
But wait, there’s more! We have added new in-game emotes to Club Penguin Journey as well as refactored the Emote Menu to include multiple pages. This will help penguins be able to find more emotes as they are added without taking up space on the page as well as make it a more seamless experience when we add emotes for parties! The new emotes can be accessed the same way as before – by clicking the emote menu button in the main dock of the interface!
Play it Loud Stamp
The oft-requested and beloved stamp has now hit the island! Get a group of band members together at the Lighthouse and earn your very own Play it Loud Stamp! Let’s hear that music!
Interface Changes
Now that you have all experienced your first party with Party Quests, we wanted to let you know how to access your quest log at any time whether there is a party going on or not so you can check out past quests (and maybe get a sneak peek at future parties?!). To access this while a party is not going on, all you need to do is access your Player Card and in the bottom-right you will find a quests log button to take you to your quest log! During parties, the regular quest icon will be available in the main interface.
We have also added a new way to notify you of buddy requests. Now, in the main dock of the game, you will see how many UNSEEN buddy requests you have.
And on the buddy list itself you will now see how many TOTAL requests you have.
Community Events & New Pin
A whole new set of community events have been selected and are on the community events board posted in the Welcome Room! Make sure to check out a few of these events this week! Also, a new pin has been hidden on the island, so make sure to grab your buddies and go search for it!
