As our community and ambitions as a team continue to grow, we need some more flippers on deck to help keep our regularly scheduled updates running smoothly, squash pesky bugs, and bring the amazing work of our Design team to life. Perhaps you have some ideas on how we can improve our game experience, or even have your own passion project you’d like to bring to the table. This is a unique opportunity to leave your mark on the Club Penguin community forever in collaboration with a truly special team!
If you’re interesting in applying, here’s a few things to keep in mind:
Basic requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge in computer science
- Experience programming in JavaScript or TypeScript
- At least 18 years of age
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with the Phaser.js framework
- Experience writing HTML and/or programming in Go
- Basic understanding of .fla and .swf files
- Experience building or maintaining backend systems and how the client and server communicate
Whilst having prior experience with Phaser is a huge bonus, please note that we are more than willing to train and work with the right candidate(s), even if they only initially meet the basic requirements. The Club Penguin Journey Team is built on passion, and we want to invest in those who share our love for the game.

If we feel that you’re the right fit, we’ll reach out via Discord and set up a trial. The trial will have two stages: implementing a widget first, followed by implementing a room. You’ll have 30 days to complete the trial, we’ll guide you throughout the process, answering any questions that come up along the way.
